One priority of the Northbrook Speedskating club is to provide expert coaches who are dedicated to facilitating the fun, fitness and technical aspects of our sport.  Our coaches have years of experience teaching speedskater, beginners to advanced.  They have been involved in speedskating all their lives and have competed at national and international levels.    

John Singer, Head Coach:  U.S. world short track team, 1991, and U.S. national short track champion (1000m), 1990 and 1991.  Silver medalist at the World University Games (5000m relay), 1991.  U.S. National Team member, 1986, 1989-1994.  North American long track champion, 1994.  Long time member of Northbrook Speedskating Club as youth and Head Coach of Northbrook Speedskating Club, 2006-present.

Chris Stankiewicz, Assistant Coach:  National level skater from Northbrook Speedskating Club since 1998.  Coach of Northbrook Speedskating Club, 2005-present. 

Chuck Burke, Assistant Coach:  Member of the Northbrook Speedskating Club at its inception in 1952.  Long time coach of Northbrook Speedskating Club.  Two-time U.S. Speedskating Olympian and member of the U.S. Speedskating Hall of Fame.
